Concordia Farmers Market is a market with a mission of environmental sustainability. Although we do not require organic certification, we do require an affidavit attesting to the use of organic methods to grow the produce that is sold at the market. The Concordia Farmers Market is part of a larger effort that includes a campus garden. The market and the campus garden (educational in nature but also productive) are part of an effort to contribute to the building of a vibrant and environmentally healthy (read organic) local food system in this area.

Their mission statement: The mission of the Concordia College Garden is to educate the community about food production that is healthy, environmentally sustainable, and practical in a manner that encourages active engagement and lessens our global footprint.
